PCADV 40th Anniversary Conference - 'Celebrating the Past and Shaping the Future'
The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence's (PCADV) 40th Anniversary Conference was held November 2nd - 4th, 2016 at the Marriott in downtown Lancaster, PA. Gloria Steinem was the keynote speaker for the event. Pennsylvania was the first state to organize a coalition to deal with domestic violence and sexual assault. Their first meeting 40 years ago took place in Lancaster. We were proud to take part in this event, and to display the 'Hardened Heart' series and purple heart poster. The conference had 350 participants from across the state of Pennsylvania. The responses that we received from the crowd to our art display were extremely positive. Both victims and advocates have become quite emotional when viewing the Hearts and reading David's words.
